Judge Rinder episode featuring Wigan’s world pie eating championships

Barry Rigby has taken his case of some wrongly shaped pies to ITV Judge Rinder. The TV judge was asked to adjudicate on the case of world pie-eating champion and has finally settled a two-year row about Wigan’s favourite snack.

Barry Rigby scooped the world title in 2014, but after coming out on top in a closely-fought competition, the tournament’s chief Tony Callaghan declared the contest null and void.

Tony claimed that he had discovered the pies delivered to Harry’s Bar in Wigan, where the competition was taking place, were not ‘regulatory size’.

And so Barry, who also won the competition in 2009, paid a visit to Judge Rinder’s court to decide the title once and for all.
